Here are answers to some of the questions we receive most often. Contact us directly if anything is unclear or you have further questions prior to purchase.
Personal Aulivar & Aulivar for Business include our Research products. Aulivar makes extensive use of its own products internally.
Aulivar Research gives you a structured, independent view of a subject without the time, cost and effort normally required to research it properly yourself or by engaging a 3rd party agency or consultancy.
It asks the questions that matter, explores the important nuances and turns a large amount of information into clear, useful insight you can actually act on.
Start with a clear objective: what are you trying to understand, decide, validate or challenge? The context you provide in the request helps us explore the situation on your behalf and extrapolate what matters, it also helps us to focus the research on the key aspects.
Because research often raises new questions, you can use the included follow-up questions to dig deeper into the findings that matter most.
A meaningful piece of research can easily consume many days or weeks of searching, reading, comparing, checking and summarising — before you have even started forming a conclusion.
Aulivar does all of that heavy lifting for you, providing a structured, digestible result at a fraction of the cost of traditional approaches including consultancy-led research; thus freeing your time for the decisions that follow.
Not always — and it is not intended to. Traditional consultancy still has an important role where extensive interviews, workshops, specialist fieldwork or hands-on organisational change are required.
Aulivar provides a faster and more affordable route where the need is primarily for strong research, analysis, challenge and insight, and it can also provide an excellent foundation before engaging more expensive specialist support.
This foundation can be used to specify the requirements in an insightful and meaningful way.
A good idea is only the beginning. Aulivar can help you explore the market, customer need, competition, trends, risks, opportunities and assumptions behind your idea before you commit significant time or money.
The aim is not simply to tell you that an idea sounds good, but to help you understand why it might work, where it might fail and what you should investigate next.
Aulivar does more than gather information. It brings together evidence, competing perspectives, uncertainty, risks and opportunities so that you can see the bigger picture and make a better-informed judgement.
The result is less time wrestling with information and more time thinking clearly about what it actually means.
No. Aulivar Research is designed around straightforward, one-off purchases rather than ongoing subscriptions. You choose the research you need, pay for it once and receive the completed deliverable. If you want further research later, you simply purchase it when required. Aulivar does offer combined purchase and multi-buy options, and these also do not require a subscription.
That is an important research finding in itself. Aulivar does not force certainty where the evidence does not support it. Where sources disagree, evidence is weak or important gaps remain, the research will make that clear, explain the competing perspectives and identify where further investigation or judgement may be required.
In more serious cases where the content of the report is seriously hindered or negatively impacted, we will contact you to discuss options. If no options are deemed suitable, then we will of course refund the full amount associated with the impacted research as per our refund policy.
Absolutely. Good research should stand up to challenge. You can question conclusions, introduce additional context, challenge assumptions or ask for an alternative interpretation of the evidence.
Where follow-up questions are included with your research product, they are specifically intended to help you probe the findings and explore areas that deserve further scrutiny.
We would rather tell you that than produce an apparently confident answer built on weak evidence. If there is insufficient reliable information to support meaningful research, this will be identified and explained. Where possible, we may suggest a narrower question, a different research approach or the additional information needed to make the work worthwhile.
In cases where the lack of information seriously hinders or negatively impacts the output, we will contact you to discuss options. If no options are deemed suitable to you, then we will of course refund the full amount associated with the impacted research as per our refund policy.
The research you purchase is supplied for your use, and you are free to use its findings within your own personal or business activities, subject to the applicable terms of sale.
