Important Points Before You Order
Aulivar Research is a paid professional research service. Most of our Terms and Conditions are standard contractual provisions, but there are a few points about how our research service works that we want to make especially clear.
This summary does not replace the full Terms and Conditions of Sale. The full Terms apply to every order.
Commissioned research starts from your agreed Scope
Commissioned research may begin shortly after your order is accepted and is normally supplied on the delivery basis shown at the point of sale. Delivery begins once payment has been received, the order has been accepted and we have enough information to understand your research question.
If you are a Consumer and ask us to start during the normal statutory cancellation period, you will be asked to expressly request immediate commencement and acknowledge that your cancellation right ends once the commissioned service has been fully performed.
Commissioned research is not “try before you buy”
Commissioned research is work carried out specifically in response to your order. It is not supplied on approval, trial or a speculative-payment basis. Payment is normally required in full before research begins.
Once commissioned research has been completed and the applicable cancellation right has ended, there is no change-of-mind refund simply because you no longer need the report or decide not to use it.
If you realise that you have genuinely ordered by mistake, contact us immediately. If research has not yet started, we may still be able to cancel the order.
Pre-Built Research is an existing Aulivar report
Pre-Built Research is supplied as an existing research Deliverable rather than research commissioned specifically around your organisation or question. Please check the selected title and description carefully before you order.
Your complimentary update
One complimentary update is included and may be requested any time within 12 months of purchase. The update applies to the purchased report and does not convert it into a new commissioned research brief.
We provide honest research, not a predetermined answer
Our job is to research the question properly and report what the evidence supports.
A refund is not due simply because the research does not support the answer, argument, invention or commercial position you hoped for, or because you disagree with a reasonably reached conclusion.
Research helps inform judgement. It does not guarantee what will happen next, and final decisions remain yours.
If something is genuinely wrong, we want the opportunity to put it right
If the research materially fails to address the agreed question, contains a significant factual error, materially differs from what was ordered or has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, tell us promptly.
We will review the concern and, where appropriate, our first response will normally be to clarify, correct, supplement or re-perform the affected part of the research. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
The agreed Scope matters
Your order covers the research question, subject matter and Deliverable agreed when you buy.
If you materially change the question after research has begun, that additional work may require a separate order or additional charge.
Research has limits
We take research seriously, but no research process can guarantee that every relevant fact, source, publication, patent, market development or piece of information in existence has been found.
Our reports reflect the information reasonably available at the time the research is carried out. Third-party information can also change, be corrected or disappear after the report has been completed.
For Opportunity & Innovation Assessment research in particular, patent, prior-art, trademark and company-name searches are valuable research tools, but they are not formal legal clearance, a guarantee of patentability or a freedom-to-operate opinion.
You are buying the research Deliverable
You are buying the agreed report, research or other Deliverable — not our internal production process.
Internal research notes, search histories, prompts, intermediate drafts, scoring, working analysis and proprietary methods are not included unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Once paid for, the Deliverable can be used by you or within your organisation, but it cannot normally be resold, commercially redistributed or presented as research you independently produced.
In short: we undertake serious research, we expect to be paid for work properly ordered and delivered, and we do not sell predetermined conclusions. In return, we expect our research to materially match what you ordered and to be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If we genuinely fall short of that standard, give us the opportunity to put it right.
Please read the full Terms and Conditions of Sale before placing your order.
This is understood and accepted.
